New mall away from hustle and bustle

Westwood mall, leased by Retail Africa, is an indulgent retail experience designed to satisfy the shopper's desire for a convenient, friendly and up-market meeting place. Built on 36 hectares, the centre is surrounded by a 12 hectare green belt designed to rehabilitate the indigenous flora and maintain the previous natural habitat.

Westwood Mall consists of two levels housing 150 exciting stores and restaurants, two of which are international stores that came to KZN for the first time. The first is French fashion house Promod and second, the London-based sports department store Lillywhites, which is one of only two in South Africa. The official opening of the mall is September 25, promising customers large retail stores like Pick 'n Pay, Woolworths, Dis-Chem, Edgars and Ackermans as well as the smaller popular fashion stores.

In addition to these stores, the centre boasts gourmet eateries, food court outlets, banks, bookshops, music etc. The upper-deck allows for customers to dine under the stars, with a spectacular view of the surrounding nature.

The shopping centre is situated conveniently at the intersection of the Ml3 and the N2, within existing residential areas while being centrally located, within 15 minutes of Pinetown, Umhlanga and all of the Durban beaches. Angus Mackay, Chairman of Retail Africa, says, "We are proud to say we have succeeded in not only building a beautiful 35 000m² centre, but one with ample parking on three levels." This eliminates one of the many difficulties faced by customers when shopping, which is waiting for parking.
